Who can judge who?

Who can judge who?
Death penalty has been the hot potato since it practiced long time ago. It was an effective way to threaten the people to witness the cruel execution to prevent crimes when it was done in public in old days. Dictators in history used this way to control people quite often and it worked effectively.
But, society has been changed a lot ever since. Many people in those days were illiterate and needed to be taught in somewhat way.

George Bush can judge--he'll volunteer to do it!! :0

What's sad about the death penalty for crime is that it doesn't reduce crime. It is not a deterrant. Therefore, it must be to punish or to make the victims feel better?

Ironically, when dictators are captured, they are seldom executed. Instead they are put in a comfortable prison.

Maybe humans just want to play God.

Life is too short.
